A MESSAGE FROM OUR

YOUTH MINISTER

The goal of the Our Student Ministry is to support the family model seen in the Bible. It is also our goal to help students grow in and share their faith with others. Our Student Ministry wants to help and support our students in being a good example of Jesus' love. We are excited about the chance to partner with you in teaching your student about the love of Jesus Christ.

THE VINE

Fellowship / Worship / Discipleship

Jesus says "Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit: apart from me you can do nothing" in John 15:4-5. This is where the name THE VINE came from.  The number one goal of our Student Ministry is to connect students to Jesus because we are only truly alive when we are connected to Jesus who connects us to the Father.

February Theme:  We will be diving deeper into the topic of "Being" that we learned at TCTC this year. This month we will be talking about Being Real. Jesus did not call us to sit on the bench when it comes to our faith. As Christians, He wants us to be REAL with the people in our life. Come to the Vine to learn how to be REAL with those you come in contact with every day! We’re here every Sunday night 5:30pm-7:45pm starting with dinner in the Fellowship Hall.

Middle School

Summer Camp

Teener Camp is a Sunday through Friday camp for students entering the 6th-8th grade. The deans for our Teener camps really do an amazing job of creating a program that allows these students to feel like the young adults that they are. Worship is usually led by a band at Teener Camp. Some Teener Camp-specific activities are tubing or going to the waterpark in Helen, doing a paint slip-n-slide, a counselor hunt, and one Teener Camp had a contest to see who could build a cardboard boat and row across the lake! (Don't worry, it's shallow).

Dates: June 10th-15th

Where: North Georgia Christian Camp

Leader: Justin Coates

What To Bring: Bible, pencil, paper, bedding (twin-size), pillow, toiletries, towels, casual clothing/sportswear, shoes (a pair of sneakers and a pair of sandals would be great!), swimming suit (girls: swimsuit must cover stomach), and a flashlight.

High School

Summer Camp

Senior Camp is for students who are going into 9th grade through students who are going into college. Campers will be here Sunday - Friday, and during this time will be challenged to really make their faith real. Senior Camp deans treat the campers like adults. There's no

nap-time or going to bed "early" here! This camp is a full day of hanging out with friends and learning what it means to love Jesus. Some Senior Camp activities in the past include tubing or going to the waterpark in Helen, prayer walks, "snowball" fights (you'd be amazed at the white Christmas in July we've had with just a little all-purpose flour), midnight swims, and even midnight ice cream/dance parties!

Dates: July 1st-6th

Where: North Georgia Christian Camp

Leader: Justin Coates

What To Bring: Bible, pencil, paper, bedding (twin-size), pillow, toiletries, towels, casual clothing/sportswear, shoes (a pair of sneakers and a pair of sandals would be great!), swimming suit (girls: swimsuit must cover stomach), and a flashlight.
