What is your story? As you have already seen and heard, we as a church family will be participating in a church wide Bible program called “THE STORY” in 2012. In preparation for teaching “THE STORY” to the teens and young adults, I've been reading through the whole Bible. Each time I read through the scriptures I am struck by God's presence in the lives of His creation. I am in awe of the great lengths He goes through to maintain a relationship with His children. In scripture we see the sacrifices that He is willing to make for the people of the scriptures and for us.
There is a reason we call it History (It is His story). As we look through the Bible in 2012, I encourage you to take a look how His Story, His presence and working is present in Your Story. Take a good look at His comings and goings throughout your life.
In my story, God's presence has been present in my life as a teen in central Indiana. As I tested the waters and succeeded or failed, He was ever present guiding, rebuking and most importantly loving me. In my life as a young adult, it wasn't that he became more involved in my life. No, it's that I allowed Him to truly write my story and lead me through the narrative of my life. And now as a Middle age adult and parent, I trust that God is not yet finished crafting my story.
This is my story, this is my song, praising my savior all the day long. What is your story, your song? Is it praising your savior or fighting Him tooth and nail. Let him lead in 2012. Let him be the dominate presence in your life's story. Who knows generations from now as they look back at History they'll read about the faithfulness found in your story.
